My work is about sense of place and relationship to space, collectively
and individually. Recent works also explore human relationships
within the spaces we inhabit. I draw on my memories and
experiences of places along with training in Geographic Information
Systems, which uses layers of information to create complex
interactive map images digitally. Layers of earth unfold, revealing
impressions of places. Maps are beautiful objects to look at,
but much of their beauty for me lies in what they can and cannot
tell us about
the world. They are libraries of information layered in a single
image. |
