Ryan Ketchum is a self-taught painter who lives and works in Bedford-Stuyvesant,
Brooklyn.
The dreamscapes of Ketchum’s works contain multiple layers
of completed paintings. The sensuality and symmetry of each layer — exposed
or submerged — tumbles into the foreground, resulting in a
softly fragmented arrangement of mixed media. Each piece is a collection
of forgotten, intimate fairytales: colors, shapes and found objects. |
