Untitled #7
ink on rice paper, 18 x 11.75 inches
In the last few years, I have been drawn to working on paper.
My recent works are made with India ink and watercolor on rice paper. They are abstractions with references to natural forms.
This ongoing series of ink drawings are on exhibition in my studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in Building 30,
and can be seen during the 2011 SONYA Studio Stroll.
Prior to emigrating to the United States and settling in New York, I lived in France where I grew up, in Czechoslovakia where I resided in my early teens and in Spain where I spent several formative years. I received formal academic training in Spain and New York, where I attended the Cooper Union and the Art Student’s League.
