Rosalind Depas
I use the technique of double weave to make woven pictures and decorative wall hangings, with the stress on color and texture. I learned this technique from my husband, Spencer Depas, who was an artist from Haiti. As a painter I use mainly acrylics to make abstracts or dream landscapes. My most recent works are collages.
I have a Ph. D. in Comparative Literature from a German university and still (at the age of 86) teach English part-time at the City University of New York – and in my spare time I am a grandmother!
10% of any proceeds will go to Haiti.
