My work comprises stylized and abstracted views of the natural world
showing
the vitality of life force as filtered through my perception and
imagination.
Existing somewhere between decadence and serenity, the pictures
are searches
for tenderness, sensuality, and humor through the interaction of
form and color.
Although the forms do not represent existing beings or landscapes,
the
solidity and space implied create a sense of restriction and longing
that reflects
life on both a natural and metaphysical level.
Light illuminating the compositions does not emanate from one consistent
source, as there is no single source for our knowledge and inspiration.
We absorb
it from all angles to create the beauty and chaos of our lives. |
