For several years, I have been exploring printmaking. The matrixes’
that I use can be metal, linoleum, silkscreen or even a clay base.
Sometimes, I cut intricate stencils to separate colors and delineate
space—a skill I learned during my ten years as a mechanical
artist.
I have had a rich collaborative mentorship with many printmaking masters
including Sheila Goloborotko, Sheila Marbain, and Mitch Lyons. I hold
a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from New York University and
studied throughout high school and college with teachers who deeply
influenced me including Yale Epstein, and Robert Kaupelis. Van Gogh’s
drawings, Rousseau’s landscapes and Matisse’s cutouts
continually influence and affect the way that I see.
