Prior to emigrating to the United States and settling
in New York, I lived in France where I grew up, in Czechoslovakia
where I resided in my early teens and in Spain where I spent several
formative years.
I received formal academic training in Spain and New York, where I
attended the Cooper Union and the Art Student’s League.
In the last two years, I have been drawn to working on paper. My recent
works feature the figure or nature with watercolors, India ink and
charcoal.
At my studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard I am exploring new print techniques
based on drawings done with life models. These are primarily character
portraits or aspects of the human form abstractly represented.
