I have been a working artist for the past 30 years. During most of this time, I have focused my work on documentary filmmaking and video art. I began my career in the Newsreel Film Collective of the anti-Vietnam War movement at the age of 20 and has since produced and directed over 20 films about controversial subjects. More recently, I have returned to painting-my first love. My new work is a combination of printing (in and outside the computer) and oil and acrylic paintings. The commonality between my paintings and film work is that they are portraits and short stories about everyday people.
