Since 1997 Danny Simmons’ Corridor Gallery has been a true
neighborhood gathering place. Corridor has hosted 4-5 exhibitions
of local artists annually, each exhibition has at least one public
event. Events have included: receptions, performances, readings,
fashion shows and lectures. Corridor Gallery is a project of Rush
Philanthropic Arts Foundation which is dedicated to providing disadvantaged
urban youth with significant exposure and access to the arts, as
well as providing exhibition opportunities to underrepresented artists
and artists of color. The organization was founded in 1995 by brothers
Russell, Danny and Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons. |
